The Linocuts of Robert Gillmor

Langford Press

2006  · 270 × 305mm  · 176pp

During a lifetime of work, artist Robert Gillmor (1936–2022) made a major contribution to how birds and wildlife are depicted in art, especially through the medium of linocut printing. In his first major book on this subject, he wrote of the inspiration behind the 90 illustrated prints as well as detailing some of his printing techniques.

Working with Robert on the design of this book, my aim was to create a layout that gave a generous feeling of space for such graphic work to breathe and speak for itself.
