Cicerbita Alpina conservation panels
NatureScot
and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh
Cicerbita Alpina is a rare Scottish plant, in the same family as lettuce, which clings to steep slopes in mountainous areas of the Highlands. The Scottish Natives team at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh are working in partnership with NatureScot to protect the species. They have been growing new plants to reinforce existing populations and to re-introduce them into areas where they once grew.
The interpretation panels told the public about this important programme. We helped refine the textual content, designed the panels and their fixtures, organised the production, and oversaw the installation at sites across Scotland.
